Bruce P. Anderson

Mr. Bruce P. Anderson is Managing Partner of the Destin and Tallahassee offices of Bruce P. Anderson Law. He has been a general practitioner for 35 years focused his practice on construction law and commercial litigation actively practicing and trying cases in all state and federal courts in Georgia, Florida and Louisiana and has appeared in suits in Alabama, Mississippi, Michigan, North Carolina, and Texas in commercial litigation, personal injury and wrongful death matters, medical malpractice claims, airplane and trucking accident litigation, and constitutional law.

* Mr. Anderson served as General Counsel for the Florida Trucking Association, Inc. for over a decade and represented Lloyds of London for years throughout the State of Florida in maritime matters and continues to practice maritime law on the Gulf Coast.

* He has routinely represented clients in Louisiana, Georgia and Florida in the areas of construction law, architectural/engineering law, public contracts law, insurance law, commercial litigation, and real estate and is often retained as local counsel for out-of-state construction law firms.

* He served as Louisiana Assistant Attorney General and Assistant Chief of the Construction Litigation Division. He was responsible for handling all of the State’s building, construction, architectural and engineering disputes and litigation, served as Special Counsel to the Louisiana Superdome and as Advisory Counsel to the New Orleans Exposition Hall Authority providing legal advice and consultation for preparation of all design, construction management and construction contracts.

* Mr. Anderson has been designated a “Florida Super Lawyer” by Law Politics Magazine and is listed in Who’s Who in American Law. He has been a guest lecturer for the Florida Bar Association on construction law and trial practice and for Florida A&M University School of Architecture on architect’s liability.

* For the past seven years, while of counsel to one of Florida’s largest law firms, he was a member of the construction and commercial litigation sections. He was designated as trial counsel for Halliburton in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida in the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Litigation.

* The Destin office of Bruce P. Anderson Law will continue to represent: (a) major resorts and developers in operations, governmental regulation and land development; (b) banks, homeowner and condo associations, owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors in financing, design, construction, sale and leasing. Mr. Anderson is available to provide arbitration services for claims in all areas of the law identified herein.
